We had an incredible time at the SIM Ignite Career & Internship Fair 2024 today, connecting with fresh graduates and students eager to explore job opportunities and grow their professional journeys. We managed to share with many enthusiastic students how our platform goes beyond helping with job search. That’s right - as a dedicated youth space, the RVI platform offers so much more, allowing youth to explore their interests, meet like-minded collaborators, and create their portfolio to connect with opportunities like internships, paid projects, workshops and more!We were thrilled to see students engaging with our platform as a way to present more than just their resumes, embracing the idea of sharing their full potential through a portfolio. Portfolio posts allow youth to showcase their personalities and skills beyond academics – something employers are increasingly looking for.We wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to all the students who stopped by, listened to our pitch, and showed interest in what we do. A big thank you to SIMGE (SIM Global Education) as well for inviting us to this amazing event, giving us the chance to share how we at River Valley Irregulars are truly dedicated to helping youths find their footing. We warmly encourage everyone to join us on the platform! Share your experiences, projects, and passions — every voice matters. Post your stories, connect with like-minded individuals, and let your true self shine. Welcome aboard, Irregular!Check out our platform: https://lnkd.in/g2w8KYDT

CAFNR/Arts & Science Career & Internship Fair - fair three!Looking forward to meeting Mizzou undergraduates! Let's talk about grad school or my Grad School 101 Professional Development series that will help you figure out the application to graduate school.Tips for today's fair: ➡ Check the list of employers/exhibitors. Mark the ones you are interested in and look them up briefly.➡ Create a game plan! Who will you see first, and do you know how to start the conversation? Introduce yourself (name, major, and year), and tell them your purpose for attending the fair. Here are some examples:✨ This is my first fair. I do not know much about Graduate School, but I want to enhance my career prospects. How do I find out if Graduate School will help with that?✨ I started thinking about Graduate School. I [am at the beginning of my search/identified a graduate program for me]. Does your institution have that degree or something related to it?➡ Talk to people, get some swag, and have fun!

💥 We see posts every day on how people and businesses want to do more in the DEI space (sometimes not actually contributing more than a post!) Here is your chance to do something tangible and contribute! Our partnered Girls Grammar School based in South London are hosting their first ever careers fair on the 27th March. 500-700 students are expected to attend from year 11 & Sixth Form.We need companies to provide students with valuable insights into career paths, industries and opportunities available to them. Especially#EarlyCareers #apprenticeships #internships #graduateopportunities Why help?✔ Supporting events like this bringscareer paths and role models to the attention of students who might not otherwise consider them. ✔ This exposure sparks interest, challenges stereotypical perceptions, and expands their understanding of what's possible. ✔ This early engagementcombats biases that might discourage students from certain fields due to perceived lack of fit or belonging. Please DM me or get in touch via email for more info - reece.graves@oliverbernard.com or Naushine Robinson on naushine.robinson@oliverbernard.comFuture CodeHers Oliver Bernard
